Regional development bank provides $120m for hospital and road projects in the country's provinces
Fonplata has approved $120m in financing for a regional infrastructure program in Argentina, the country's finance ministry said in a statement.
The Argentine government will use the money to build a new hospital in the city of Chilecito in the province of La Rioja and also add nine operating rooms to the Hospital Escuela General José F. de San Martín in Corrientes.
It will also use the money to build a new access road to the Puerto de Barranqueras in Chaco and add access roads to Ruta Nacional No. 7 in Rivadavia, Junín and San Martín.
The loan will go to a government-run fund for infrastructure investments in the provinces. The fund has now received $1.02bn Fonplata, CAF and the IDB, according to the finance ministry.
