Tokyo Gas said it has agreed to form a renewable energy joint venture in Mexico with France's Engie for an undisclosed amount.
Tokyo Gas and Engie will each own 50% of the new company, called Heolios EnTG, the Japanese firm said in a statement.
Heolios will own and operate six renewable energy projects with 899 MW in total capacity. The projects have 15-year power purchase agreements and 20-year clean energy certificates from Mexico's wholesale power administrator Cenace.
