Brazil's Azul said it has closed a $200m loan from the US development agency OPIC with JPMorgan as the sole coordinator.
The airline will use the money to pay for engine maintenance of its Embraer E-Jet fleet at GE's Celma facility in the state of Rio de Janeiro, Azul said in a statement.
OPIC had approved a loan to Azul for up to $250m in June last year, according to documents on its website. The agency disbursed the loan on February 20, according to the São Paulo-based law firm TozziniFreire.
