French development agency AFD has granted a 15-year, €100m ($113m) loan to Argentina's Banco de Inversión y Comercio Exterior (BICE) to fund renewable energy projects.
BICE will use the money help finance wind and solar power projects and small hydroelectric plants along with biomass and biomass projects. The local development bank will provide up to €10m in 15-year loans for each project, the French Embassy in Argentina said in a statement.
MHR Abogados said it advised AFD on the loan.
