Mexico's América Móvil has hired Citi and Morgan Stanley to lead the sale of up to $2.25bn in dollar bonds.
The telecommunications company has also retained Bank of America and Barclays to work on the deal, according to a securities filing with the SEC.
América Móvil said it will divide the deal into a series of notes due in 2029 and another due in 2049, but it did not say how much it sell in each series. It said it will use the money to pay off debt.
