IFC said it has arranged $450m in financing for Telecom Argentina to extend broadband services to underserved regions in the country.
The financing involves $110m from the IFC and additional funding from international banks, the multilateral lender said in a press release.
The IFC did not name the other lenders or disclose the terms of the deal.
The loan "will help revert a decade-long trend of underfunding in Argentina's telecommunications sector... particularly outside the city of Buenos Aires
