The asset management division of the Chilean bank Bci has formed an UCITS fund in Luxembourg to bring in institutional investment clients from outside Chile.
The new fund, called Bci Asset Management LatAm Corporate Fund, or Bci AM LFC, holds $90m, but the investment management firm plans to build it up to $200m within 12 months, said Adolfo Hormazábal, a fixed-income fund manager at Bci Asset Management.
