ACS, Brookfield JV raises debt in Brazil

Mantiqueira Transmissora de Energia, a transmission line joint venture owned by Canada's Brookfield and Spain's ACS, has sold BRL100m ($25.7m) in debentures in Brazil, according to the local capital markets association Anbima. Banco ABC Brasil, the local division of Bahrain-based Bank ABC, priced the one-year paper at 120bp over the DI interbank lending rate, according to Anbima. Mantiqueira holds a 30-year concession to build and operate 13 transmission lines and seven substations in Brazil.
