IFC said it has arranged $210m in financing for M&A in Mexico's pharmaceutical sector and small business loans in Ecuador.
The multilateral lender organized a $160m loan for Mexico's Siegfried Rhein with $75m from its own account and $85m from the local lenders Bancomext and Monex.
Siegfried will use the money to buy additional brands and expand into Central America, according to IFC. Argentina's Laboratorios Roemmers owns Siegfried.
