Boeing said it has named John Slattery to lead a $4.2bn joint venture with Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer.
Slattery is currently the CEO of Embraer's commercial aviation division. He joined the company in 2011
In his new job, Slattery will report to Marc Allen, who will sit at the head of the board of directors of the new company, Boeing said in a statement.
Boeing and Embraer said in December last year that they had agreed to create two joint ventures — a commercial aviation partner
