Goldman Sachs hires new head of M&A in Brazil

Goldman Sachs is said to have hired Pedro Muzzi to lead its M&A business in Brazil, LatinFinance has heard.

Muzzi previously worked at the local investment bank BTG Pactual and Morgan Stanley before joining Riza Capital, a financial advisory firm set up by Marco Gonçalves, the former head of global M&A for BTG Pactual.

A Riza executive confirmed that Muzzi has left the firm but did not provide more details. Goldman Sachs did not return requests for comment.
