Fonplata said it has lent $50m to Uruguay's national port authority ANP to pay for repairs to the Rambla of Montevideo, an avenue and promenade that runs 22km along the coast.
The project includes building a new viaduct and a new bridge along with repairs to the sidewalk and roadworks to make it easier for vehicles to get in and out of the port area in Montevideo, Fonplata said in a press release.
Fonplata also said it has signed a technical cooperation agreement with the transportation ministry
