Atlas finances solar plants in Brazil

Loans Project & Infrastructure Finance Energy Renewable Solar Brazil

Atlas Renewable Energy has financed construction of three solar plants in Brazil with $152m in loans from the regional development bank Banco do Nordeste (BNB). Three commercial banks — BTG Pactual, Banco ABC Brasil and Bradesco — put up the same amount in guarantees, Atlas said in a press release. The three projects in northeast Brazil will have more than 300 MWp in installed capacity and have already signed 20-year power purchase agreements (PPAs) with Brazil's electricity trading house CCEE
