The Japanese credit rating agency JCR has given Chile a AA- with a stable outlook, leading the Finance Minister Felipe Larraín to say Asian investors are showing more interest in the country's sovereign debt.
"A place as important as Asia, a region with which Chile does more than half of its trade, is looking at us more and more," Larraín said in a press release. "The rating... reflects the interest of international investors, especially from Asia, in investing in our economy," he added.
