Italy's Enel has appeared as the strongest bidder for Sempra Energy's businesses in South America, LatinFinance has heard.
"Enel just won a three-year, $42m concession to operate the grid, which shows an increasing commitment to Peru, and it has been giving public hints here and there," said an M&A banker in Lima.
