Empresas Públicas de Medellín (EPM) has hired Lazard to coordinate the sale of the Chilean water company Aguas Antofagasta, an M&A banker told LatinFinance.
EPM's board approved plans in July last year to sell the company's stakes in Aguas Antofagasta and Los Coruros wind farm in Chile as part of a program to offload COP7tn ($2.25bn) in assets over three years. The company acquired Aguas Antofagasta for CLP596bn ($912m) in 2015.
