Invenergy finances LNG project in El Salvador

Energía del Pacífico (EDP), a subsidiary of the US power generation company Invenergy, has borrowed $657 million to finance construction of a liquid natural gas (LNG)-to-power project in Puerto de Acajutla, El Salvador, according to its legal adviser White & Case. US International Development Finance Corporation (DFC), International Finance Corporation (IFC), IDB Invest, Finnish Export Credit (FEC) and KfW IPEX-Bank provided the financing for the $1 billion project, EDP said in a statement.
