Banco Pichincha has become the first issuer to sell green bonds in Ecuador's capital markets, raising $150 million to finance environmentally sustainable projects in the country. IDB Invest, the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and the French development agency Proparco each bought $50 million in bonds, according to statements from IDB Invest and IFC.
