BBVA arranged a MXN700 million ($36.9 million) loan for the Mexican pharmaceutical company Grupo Farmacéutico Somar earlier this month, according to a source involved in the deal.
The Spanish bank's local branch led four other lenders in the six-year term loan, divided into one tranche for MXN406 million and another for MXN294 million, according to the source.
BBVA contributed MXN185 million to the loan as the sole lead arranger, sole bookrunner and administrative agent. Banca Mifel and Scotiaba
