Peru is looking to add an environmental, social, and governance (ESG) element to its funding strategy in the capital markets next year, José Olivares, the head of financial markets management at the finance ministry, told LatinFinance.
The ESG efforts could include possibly issuing a green, sustainable or social bond, Olivares said.
"It's on our agenda for next year," he said. "We have to gauge investor demand for the different types of bonds and in which currency."
