Peru's Kallpa Generación is close to signing a new loan from Scotiabank and SMBC to to refinance debt from the Puerto Bravo power plant in Arequipa, according to a source close to the deal. Samay I, a division of Kallpa, has lined up a seven-year loan for $300 million to pay off a similar facility it got from HSBC, MUFG and SMBC in 2015 to fund construction of the 593 MW thermoelectric power plant, the source said.  The Lima-based power company started operations at Puerto Bravo in May 2016 afte
