Major oil companies again skipped Brazil's second oil auction in as many days on Thursday as the national petroleum agency ANP only awarded one of the five blocks on offer.
Petrobras and China National Oil and Gas Exploration and Development Company (CNODC), a division of China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), took the Aram block on the Santos basin for the minimum bid of BRL5.05 billion ($1.23 billion), ANP said in a statement.
