The Argentine government has postponed the auction to build and operate an $800 million natural gas pipeline as the economic crisis has made it harder for potential bidders to line up financing, leading at least one potential bidder to say that part of the money will have to come from multilateral lenders. The Energy Ministry last week pushed back the deadline by five months to March 31, the second delay since the project was announced early this year.
The delay did not come as a total surprise
