US data center company Equinix said it has moved into the Mexican market and agreed to buy three data centers from Axtel for $175m in cash.
The three data centers include two carrier-neutral facilities in the city of Querétaro that serve Mexico City and one that serves Monterrey. The three sites earned roughly $21m in revenues in 2018, Equinix said in a press release.
