Aircraft manufacturers Embraer and Boeing now expect to close a proposed joint venture in early 2020 as the European Union (EU) has indicated it will open an in-depth review of the $4.2bn deal on antitrust grounds.
"Boeing and Embraer look forward to assisting with that review," the two companies said in a joint statement.
