Brazil's Notre Dame Intermédica said it has agreed to buy the local health plan provider São Lucas Saúde for BRL312m ($75.2m) in cash.
"With the transaction, the company continues its stated growth strategy, strengthens its owned network, increasing its presence in the interior of São Paulo state," Intermédica said in a statement.
São Lucas Saúde recorded BRL299m in net revenue in 2018 with a medical loss ratio (MLR) of 80%. It has 87,000 clients in and around the city of Americana in the state
