Chile's AES Gener issued $450m in hybrid green bonds to yield 6.35% on Wednesday, the same day it agreed to buy back $128m in 2021 and 2025 notes, a banker on the deal told LatinFinance.
"This was the first hybrid green bond in Latin America, so it was novel," the banker said. "There was a mix of investors from green funds to emerging market dedicated funds," he added.
