Chilean President Sebastián Piñera named on Monday eight new cabinet ministers in hopes that he can quell the country's worst political crisis in decades, sparked by an increase in fares to ride the Santiago city subway that ignited wider frustrations over economic inequalities.Piñera, who took office for a second time in 2017, made the changes after more a week of protests. In all, an estimated 17 people have been killed in the riots that have ensued.
