Sempra sells Chilean business to State Grid

Sempra Energy said it has agreed to sell its Chilean subsidiary, Chilquinta Energía, to the China's State Grid for $2.23bn. The Chinese state-owned electric utility company also acquires the construction company Tecnored and 50% of the power transmission division Eletrans as part of the deal, the US energy firm said in a statement.
