Colombia's Sotramac has received a COP220bn ($63.2m) loan to fund the TransCaribe bus rapid transit (BRT) concession in Cartagena, the local development bank Financiera de Desarrollo Nacional (FDN) said in a press release.
FDN said it provided 29.5% of the financing, while the French development agency Proparco put in 38.6% and the Swedish manufacturer Scania contributed 31.8%. FDN added that it has disbursed COP14bn of the loan and Proparco has already paid out COP16bn.
