Transelec signed an 18-year, $360m project finance loan for four power transmission projects, according to a source close to the deal.
German development bank KfW IPEX-Bank, Canadian export credit agency EDC and MUFG split the club loan into three equal tranches, according to the source.
Proceeds will be used to finance two new substations and eight new transmission lines. The total investment in the projects is expected to reach approximately $435m.
