Sempra signals exit from South America

Sempra Energy said it has started the sales process for two subsidiaries in South America as it focuses more on Mexico and the United States. The US energy company has opened the bidding for Luz del Sur in Peru and Chilquinta Energía in Chile, along with its stakes in the energy services companies Tecnored and Tecur, Sempra said in a statement.
