The Chilean government has held the first board meeting for a new infrastructure fund and promised to present a five-year plan by March 31.
Chile plans to raise around $9bn for the Fondo de Infraestructura, or Foinsa, Public Works Minister Juan Andrés Fontaine said in a press release.
Luz Granier, who worked at AES Gener for more than 10 years and served as undersecretary of social services in 2013 and 2014, will lead the fund, with Luis Hernán Paúl as second in command.
