As part of a two-day visit to Ecuador, Japan's Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and President Lenin Moreno agreed to a 25-year $70m loan for the South American country to advance power efficiency and deliver systems. The Project for Supporting the Advancement of Energy Matrix Transmission, will be the beneficiary of Co-financing for Renewables Energy and Energy Efficiency programs and will also feature backing from the IDB.
