BBVA in Colombia has accepted Rocío Pérez Mies' resignation as the bank's executive vice president (VP) in risk and replaced her with Alfredo López Baca Calo, who moves into the position from BBVA Bancomer.

Pérez will continue with BBVA in Spain as a credit risk officer for the bank's South American units, a role that falls under BBVA's global risk management division.

López was also an executive VP in risk at BBVA's Mexican subsidiary.

In addition, BBVA Colombia has appointed Carlos Alberto Rodríguez López as an executive VP in its corporate and investment banking arm. He has previously worked at power company ISA's corporate finance team and at local lender Bancolombia.

In the public sector, Rodríguez helped develop Colombia's stock exchange and also served as a general director within the government's public credit office and finance ministry.
