BNDES said it has approved a BRL2.89bn ($760.32m) loan to Rumo, the Brazilian logistics company.
Out of the total amount, BRL1.16bn will be destined to the Malha Norte, a 754 km railway linking Rondonopolis to the border with Sao Paulo, in the region of Aparecida do Taboado.
A second project, the Malha Paulista railway stretch, will receive BRL1.076bn in investments. The 1,989 km stretch connects Baixada Santista to the Sao Paulo region cities of Santa Fe do Sul, Panorama, and Colombia.
