Brazil's Petrobras announced that Ivan Monteiro has become CEO, rising from the post of CFO he had held since 2015.
Shares in the state-owned energy company rose as high as 8.5% on Monday morning, the first day of trading after Monteiro replaced Pedro Parente, who resigned last week. Petrobras' American Depositary Shares (ADSs) ended the day at $10.7, up 5.63%%, after shedding more than 35% since the start of a trucker strike on May 21.
