Brazil's BRF said it has hired Pedro Parente as CEO, filling a position that had been vacant since April 23, and also named Lorival Nogueira Luz Jr to new position of COO.
Parente stepped down as CEO of the state-owned energy company Petrobras on June 1, saying he would not be an "obstacle" to ending a recent trucker strike that brought the country to a standstill.
He become chairman of BRF in April, while he was still at Petrobras. He will hold both positions at BRF for at least 180 days. The
