Petrobras has prepaid $61.7bn in debt through through a multi-faceted liability management exercise, the state-run energy company said in a statement.
Of the total amount, Brazilian Petrobras refinanced $48.6bn at rates that saved it about $1.6bn.
Petrobras also lengthened the average term life on roughly $11.7bn in loans to 9.34 years this month from the 7.14-year figure recorded back in December 2015.
