Brazil's Ministry of Mines and Energy has received 1,080 bids in the A-6 power auction, said the state-run energy research agency EPE in a statement. The bids amounted to 57,959 MW of installed capacity.
There was 926 total bids for wind farm projects. In terms of capacity, thermal projects, including gas, coal and biomass sources, bid for the largest combined capacity, which exceeded 29 MW. There was also seven bids amounting to 33 MW for large hydroelectric plants and 63 bids totaling 919 MW
