CAF said it has approved a total of $1.29bn in loans for eight projects in the region, following a board meeting in Montevideo.
The Latin America development bank has earmarked $516m in financing for projects in Brazil, including $296m for the first phase of the Line 17-Gold of the São Paulo subway system, $150m for education and sanitation investments in Fortaleza and $70m for the regional development bank Banco do Nordeste do Brasil (BNB) to provide microloans.
