Bain bags millions from Intermédica follow-on

Bain Capital has earned BRL2.4bn ($617m) from a follow-on offering by the Brazilian healthcare provider Notre Dame Intermédica, according to a securities filing. Alkes II, an investment fund from the US private equity firm, offloaded 92.4m shares for BRL26 each in a secondary offering, while Intermédica itself raised BRL312m from the sale of 12m new shares. The company's share capital now stands at BRL1.69bn with 500m common shares, Intermédica said in the filing. Bain bought Intermédica from it
