Argentine citrus grower San Miguel has secured $100m in funding for up to nine years from IDB Invest, IFC and the Dutch lender Rabobank.
Rabobank has contributed $45m to the loan, while IDB Invest and IFC each have put in $27.5m. The two multilateral agencies will also advise San Miguel on good environmental practices, such as the treatment of wastewater, IFC said in a press release.
The financing comes with a longer tenor than available in the loan market because it takes at least five years
