Allianz Global Investors (AllianzGI) said it has acquired a 17-year, $250m bond through a private placement with the Peruvian asset management firm Sigma.
Sigma's infrastructure fund will use the money to refinance debt and buy full control of two wind farms, Tres Hermanas and Marcona. Cobra, a subsidiary of Spanish construction group ACS, financed the projects with $254m from six lenders in April 2015. Sigma acquired 49% of the wind farms in 2016.
