The Green Climate Fund (GCF) has provided $79m in funding for the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) to extend a sustainable energy financing program to five countries in the Caribbean.
The fund, as part of the UN's efforts to stop global warming, has granted a 20-year, $60m loan for the CDB to finance the construction of geothermal plants and transmission lines in Dominica, Grenada, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, the IDB said in a press release.
