Canadian Solar said it has secured $119m in financing for solar projects in Argentina and Mexico.
Mexico's export credit agency Bancomext and the Spanish lender Banco Sabadell supplied $69m for the Aguascalientes project, divided into a $53.2m long-term loan, a $5.6m letter of credit and a $10.2m VAT loan, Canadian Solar said in a press release.
The Ontario-based renewable energy company said it will use the money to pay off a $45m construction loan it got from Natixis in August.
