The IDB said it has approved $258m in funding for water and healthcare projects in Haiti, Honduras and Bolivia.
The multilateral agency has approved a $125m grant for a water and sanitation project in northern Haiti, providing funds for the national water agency Dinepa to improve services to 205,000 homes in Gonaïves, Cap-Haïtien and other cities.
The IDB has also granted a $79m loan to foot the bill for a program to provide better water and sanitation services in mid-sized cities in Bolivia.
