Roberto Castello Branco will likely replace Ivan Monteiro as CEO of Brazil's state-owned energy company when President-elect Jair Bolsonaro takes office on January 1, according to press reports.
Castello Branco is an economics professor at the Fundação Getúlio Vargas, but he was a board member for Petrobras from 2015 to 2016 and a director at the mining company Vale from 1999 to 2014. He has also been director at the central bank.
