France's Carrefour said that its Brazilian subsidiary has acquired the local foodtech firm e-Mídia for an undisclosed amount.
The supermarket chain plans to sell groceries on e-Mídia's recipe website CyberCook, Carrefour said in a statement. e-Mídia operates two other websites in Brazil — the women's health and beauty site VilaMulher and the wellness site MaisEquilíbrio.
The websites have more than 100,000 recipes and receive more than 2.4m visitors per month, Carrefour said.
