Ecuador’s transportation and public works ministry has begun accepting proposals for its 243km road transportation expansion project. The nation’s president, Lenin Moreno, said proceeds will target the Santo Domingo – Buena Fe, Buena Fe – Babahoyo – Jujan corridors.
The transportation ministry said investment to expand the corridors to four lanes from two will exceed $1.3bn. Construction time is estimated to last three years. The concession includes a 27-year operation and maintenance contract.
